Lisa Nandy wants progress - not promises - from Wigan Athletic administrators


A press conference has been called by the administrators for Thursday.
Supporters will be hoping it is to reveal an update on a possible sale, ahead of their own self-imposed deadline next Monday.

Hide AdWarriors chairman Ian Lenagan has made a separate bid for the DW Stadium while it is also understood the Euxton training ground has been sold to Preston North End.
And Nandy upped the ante on the administrators, suggesting it is time they delivered a roadmap to recovery ahead of the start of the League One season.
They have been searching for a buyer since July 1.
“We were told by the administrators the club would be secured and that we had every reason to think the club would have a good future,” she said.
“We need to hear how that will be achieved. We need to see some progress."

Hide AdShe has been trying to widen the administrators’ options by speaking to people who may be interested in rescuing the club.
“I’ve been in talks with potential buyers and local investors, and leaving no option unexplored,” said Nandy, who has been heavily involved from the start in trying to secure Latics' future.
“We’ll do what it takes to save this club.
"The next two weeks are obviously crucial.”
