The hosts came out on top in the second 45, with Latics forced into numerous blocks.

Hide AdSam Tickle then produced a superb save on 54 minutes to deny Louie Barry, who was released down the left by Nick Powell, and the number one was back in action just 10 minutes later with a low shot from Odin Bailey.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper performed well to celebrate another England Under-21s call-up with his sixth consecutive clean sheet, while chances were limited at the other end of the pitch.
Maloney’s men were forced into scrambling defence in extra time to keep the scores 0-0, including a vital block from Will Aimson.
