The Wigan MP is backing the drive to raise £500,000 to provide an alternative route for the club if a buyer doesn't emerge in the next few days.
By 8pm on Wednesday evening - the day of the launch - more than £67,000 had been raised (click here to donate). And Nandy expects Wigan Council to join fans and support attempts to provide - at the very least - a safety net for the club which has been in administration since July 1.

"This is about us stepping forward and saying, 'We are not going to let this club fail'.
"If no buyer is agreed, there has to be an alternative plan - and it has to involve the fans.
"We know this is a huge ask... but this is critical."
The £500,000 pot would allow Latics, under the supporters' group control, to satisfy the EFL they could start the new season.
Nandy hopes the council will also pledge support - click play to watch the full video interview.
