Wigan Athletic's case could be tip of iceberg, warns Steve Bruce
Newcastle boss Steve Bruce admitted he was "saddened" by the news of Latics' administration.
The Newcastle United boss had spells as Wigan manager in 2001 and then between November 2007 and June 2009.
"I heard Dave Whelan on the radio yesterday and I could hear the shock and disappointment in his voice," he said.

Hide Ad"I've had the privilege to be manager there and it was such a well-run club by Dave and all the staff.
"It could be the tip of the iceberg from what I'm hearing in the game.
"There are a lot of clubs in real trouble.
"I hope they can get something sorted at Wigan, but I don't think they'll be alone. When I speak to people in the game, there are some big problems out there."
