It's the moment Warriors fans never wanted to see.

But Sale Sharks fans will be happy to catch their first glimpse of Grand Final-winning wing ace Josh Charnley sporting their colours before he links-up with his new team-mates at the end of the month.

Charnley bowed-out as a rugby league player with an incredible record of having scored 165 tries in 176 games, including the winning try against Warrington Wolves in the Grand Final at Old Trafford last Saturday.

And on meeting Sale Sharks Ambassador and Commercial Director Mark Cueto, who holds the all-time scoring record for the Premiership with 90 tries, Charnley was quickly set his next challenge.

Cueto joked: “Great to see you, are you after my record? I am sure you can do it!”

During his time at Wigan Charnley won two Grand Finals and two Challenge Cups, and was top try scorer in Super League in back to back seasons in 2012 and 2013.

In 33 appearances this season, he touched down 24 times.
