The first batch of supporters are set to be allowed to attend games again in round five, reports the NRL's official website.

"We're very pleased the government have corrected the anomaly, because this was allowed in pubs, clubs and racecourses but not sports stadiums," ARL Commission chairman Peter V'landys told AAP on Friday afternoon.

The second round of the NRL went behind closed doors before the coronavirus crisis forced the season to be halted, and it returned last weekend with no fans in the grounds.

Ex-Wigan players Williams, Sutton and injured John Bateman all play for Canberra Raiders.
