Wigan band The Lathums to make national television debut and return with live show

The Lathums are due to perform on Later... With Jools Holland, which will be broadcast at 10pm on Friday on BBC2.

The show will go to Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, where they have been recording their debut album.

It comes as the four-piece make their return to the stage for the first time since their sold-out February tour with a show at Blackpool Tower.

The one-off show by the sea will be a "thank you" from The Lathums to those who stood by their side during 2020 and will be streamed for free online at 8pm on Wednesday.

Live From Blackpool Tower will see them play long-standing favourites alongside recent releases, including punchy single I See Your Ghost and other tracks from the forthcoming Ghosts EP, due to be released on Friday, October 30.

The Lathums’ story began just two years ago at Pemberton’s The Music Project College, with Alex Moore (vocals, rhythm guitar), Scott Concepcion (lead guitar), Ryan Durrans (drums) and Jonny Cunliffe (bass) quickly picking up fans and progressing from Greater Manchester pubs to festival stages, including Kendal Calling and Neighbourhood Weekender.

Their EP compilation The Memories We Make reached the UK Albums Top 20 in July and they hit number one in the UK Vinyl Singles Chart in September with their Island Records debut All My Life.

The Lathums have been recording their debut album in Liverpool and will head out on tour next year with Blossoms and Paul Weller.
