Built in association with Wigan council, Robin Park Arena is next to The DW Stadium, just a 20 minute walk from the town centre and Wigan North Western train station.

Tickets are expected to sell fast for his long-awaited homecoming show will be the first time the Bittersweet Symphony hitmaker has performed in the town since 1998.

Richard Ashcroft is a two-time Ivor Novello winner, who picked up Songwriter of the Year in 1998 and Outstanding Contribution to British Music in 2019.

He has released five op five solo albums, including his number one debut, Alone With Everybody.

He first came to attention with The Verve and one of the biggest albums of the era, in the shape of Urban Hymns – the UK’s 18th biggest selling album of all-time – as well as a succession of anthems which remain staples of his live set today, including The Drugs Don’t Work, Lucky Man, Sonnet and Bittersweet Symphony.

His most recent album, Acoustic Hymns, was released in 2022 and reached number two in the UK Album Chart.
