Local wrestling promotion Live Wyre Wrestling are gearing up for one of its biggest shows before the end of the year this week, with their top-tier title on the line in a gruelling two-out-of-three-falls match.
The company are set to return to Cleveleys Citizens Hall in Thornton-Cleveleys this Saturday (November 15), providing those who seem focused on what is happening across the Atlantic a chance to enjoy some of the local up-and-comers in the BritWres scene.
The independent professional wrestling promotion that operates within the Fylde Coast area and the broader North West of the UK strongly emphasises its reliance on homegrown talent and features a roster built around clear, larger-than-life personalities like the villain ‘Wildfire’ Nate Reese and the fan favourite ‘Primetime’ Jordan Kane.
They market their events as high-energy, family-friendly entertainment. Furthermore, Live Wyre Wrestling showcases a blend of styles, ranging from modern, hard-hitting action and established tag team powerhouses to more technical, old-school British wrestling inspired by the World of Sport era, particularly evident in the involvement of talent trained at the legendary Snake Pit.
So for those of you who recall the heyday of Big Daddy, Kendo Nagasaki and Rollerball Mark Rocco, some of the style of wrestling will be a welcome nostalgia trip in the North West this weekend.
What matches are set to take place at Live Wyre Wrestling: Resurgence this weekend?
Two out of three falls match for the Live Wyre Championship: Nate Reese (c) v Jordan Kane.

Local villain “Wildfire” Nate Reese will defend his title against the determined fan favourite “Primetime” Jordan Kane. Reese has dominated the Live Wyre roster with trademark arrogance and ruthless aggression, but the crowd's energy behind Kane is undeniable.
This is more than a championship match—it’s a battle for the soul of the promotion, and with the high stakes of a Two out of Three Falls format, this bout is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable and anticipated matches in Live Wyre history.
The inaugural Resurgence Rumble
History will be made with the first Resurgence Rumble! This multi-man elimination match offers the winner the ultimate power: they get to choose their own fate. The winner may select an immediate contract with Live Wyre Wrestling, a future championship opportunity, or perhaps use the victory to pursue something entirely unexpected. With so much power on the line, prepare for non-stop action, surprising alliances, and guaranteed chaos!
Kev Lloyd v Dan Pesek
In a sharp contrast to the Rumble’s chaos, fans will witness a technical showcase inspired by the classic World of Sport era of British wrestling. Kev Lloyd takes on Dan Pesek in a highly anticipated contest. Both men are elite graduates of the legendary Snake Pit catch-as-catch-can wrestling gym, and their rivalry promises to bring old-school, mat-based wrestling excellence back to the Fylde Coast.
Muscle & Mayhem to face any challengers in the tag team division.
Pure power will be on display when the powerhouse duo of “The War Beast” Arcadius and “The World’s Strongest Freak” Titan unleash their brand of Muscle & Mayhem in tag team action. Their opponents will need far more than luck to survive against the raw size, strength, and aggression of these two titans.
