Park Lane Chapel, on Wigan Road, Bryn, is hosting its annual heritage day and attic sale on Saturday September 19 from 10am to 1pm.

A spokesperson for the Unitarian chapel said: “There will be various stalls, including home made cakes, tombola, books, bric-a-brac, raffle and refreshments.

“Inside our beautiful chapel you will be able to browse through old pictures and old school registers.

“There is a free car park and entrance is free.”

With parts of the building dating back to 1697, Park Lane is the oldest non-conformist chapel in the Wigan area.

It underwent two extensions in the 19th century.
