The Brick Multibank in Wigan receives Amazon's top toys for Christmas delivered in a giant toy box

“We’re delighted to be working with Amazon to help put toys into the hands of children who might otherwise go without, bringing smiles to children’s faces and a little extra joy to families across our community.”

Online retail giant Amazon has donated a selection of the top toys from this year’s Christmas wish lists to The Brick Multibank in Wigan.

They arrived in a giant toy chest and will be distributed to families across Wigan in the run-up to Christmas.

Toy deliveries are being made to each of the six Multibank sites across the UK so children around the country can receive something special.

The Multibank charity distributes surplus goods to families in need through a nationwide network of charities and community organisations.

Alongside everyday essentials such as toiletries, nappies and household items, toys are particularly important at this time of year, helping families create special moments for their children at Christmas.

Through its work with Amazon and other partners, the Multibank has already distributed more than 23 million items to support more than three million families in need across the UK.

Multibank Northwest opened in 2023 and is run by The Brick, a homelessness and anti-poverty charity working across Wigan and Leigh to prevent homelessness, tackle poverty and create opportunities for people to build better futures.

Keely Dalfen, chief executive officer at The Brick Multibank, said: “Every child deserves to experience the excitement and joy of receiving a gift at Christmas, yet for many families, the festive season can be a particularly challenging time. Initiatives like Amazon’s Toys We Love campaign can make a real difference, helping to ensure more children experience the magic of Christmas. Through our work with families and communities, we see first-hand how much thoughtful gifts can make a difference.

“We’re delighted to be working with Amazon to help put toys into the hands of children who might otherwise go without, bringing smiles to children’s faces and a little extra joy to families across our community.”

The donations feature the must-have toys of the year, from interactive favourites to iconic franchises including LEGO, Playmobil, Disney and Pokémon – handpicked to inspire creativity and spark joy.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Amazon has made a special delivery of toys, as part of its year-round support of every Multibank site in the UK.
