Trial date set for a Wigan man after he pleads not guilty to carrying out a violent attack

A trial date has been set for a Wigan man accused of carrying out an attack.

A Wigan man has denied carrying out a brutal assault and will stand trial next year.

Alex Kay, 27, of Jupiter Grove, Marus Bridge, pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent - the most serious level of assault after attempted murder - and unlawful wounding during a hearing at Liverpool Crown Court.

It is alleged that he attacked a man on May 26, 2024.

A trial was scheduled to take place at the same court on December 13, 2027.
