Saturday Night Rewind brings iconic films back to the big screen in Leigh this summer

Cinema-goers are being invited to relive some of the biggest and best-loved films ever made as Leigh Film Factory's new Saturday Night Rewind season celebrates crowd-pleasing classics throughout the summer.

From time-travelling adventure and musical favourites to laugh-out-loud comedy and edge-of-your-seat suspense, Saturday Night Rewind is all about giving audiences the chance to experience unforgettable films the way they were meant to be seen – on the big screen, surrounded by fellow film fans.

The season features six iconic titles: Back to the Future, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Anchorman, The Blues Brothers, The Greatest Showman and Jaws.

Whether you're introducing a new generation to a family favourite or revisiting a film you haven't seen in years, there's something for everyone.

While many people first discovered these films on television or streaming services, nothing compares to watching them in a cinema.

From unforgettable musical numbers and quotable comedy moments to spectacular action and suspense, these are films that deserve a live audience.

Saturday Night Rewind has been created to celebrate the shared experience of cinema - laughing together, singing along, jumping out of your seat and enjoying stories that have stood the test of time.

"We wanted to create a season that brings people together around films they already love," said Kevin Lowe, for Leigh Film Factory.

"These are genuine crowd-pleasers that continue to entertain decades after they were first released, and seeing them on the big screen reminds you why they became classics in the first place."

Tickets for all screenings are on sale now, with audiences encouraged to book early at www.leighfilmfactory.com as these popular titles are expected to attract strong demand.

Whether you're returning to Hill Valley, dancing your way through a Greek summer, joining Jake and Elwood on their mission from God or daring to head back into the water, Saturday Night Rewind promises a summer of unforgettable nights at the cinema.
