Wigan Little Theatre's youth group heads to Discworld as it stages Terry Pratchett's Mort
Wigan Little Theatre’s Youth Theatre Group will perform Mort for their next show.

Mort is a fantastical comedy based on the fourth novel in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series, which features Mort, a young farm boy whose apprenticeship takes him to another dimension.
The play, which has been adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, tells Mort’s story as he navigates his new job as Death’s apprentice.
His first night alone goes drastically wrong and the fun begins.
There are continuous gags and quirks that fans might expect from this hugely popular author.
Members of WLT’s Youth Theatre Group have been rehearsing for months and are delighted to bring this play to the stage.
Group leaders Neil and Lauren Brogan-Brown and Alicia Scally dedicate many hours to preparing the young people for their production each year and believe this show will entertain, surprise and excite their audience.
Neil said: “There’s something very fulfilling in seeing these young people grow into their roles, their enthusiasm is contagious.
“We firmly believe that being part of a drama group teaches much more than stagecraft. Things like confidence, teamwork, work ethic and fun are all part of their success.
“We hope you’ll book now and bring all the family.”
The show runs from Saturday, September 19 to Monday, September 21, with matinee performances on the Saturday and Sunday at 2.15pm
Tickets for all shows are available at the box office in person or by phoning 01942 242561 between 7.30pm and 9pm throughout productions.
