Woodgruff & The Free Spirits brings immersive woodland magic to Haigh Woodland Park this summer
Join Woodgruff & The Free Spirits for a unique theatre experience in the enchanting woods of Haigh Park.
Families are invited to step beyond the stage and into the magic of the woods this summer, as Woodgruff & The Free Spirits arrives at Haigh Woodland Park for a limited run of immersive performances from July 22 to August 2.

This is no ordinary theatre trip. The adventure begins on the Amphitheatre for a Tree stage at Haigh Hall before literally leading audiences into the enchanting woodland surroundings, blending live theatre, original music, storytelling and outdoor play into one unforgettable family experience.
At the heart of the story is the powerful Sershal, who is destroying the natural world's delicate balance, and something must be done. Guided by the loveable Woodgruff and his band of woodland companions, audiences will journey through the forest, working together to restore harmony to nature.
Packed with fantastical sprites, laughter, discovery and original songs, the show invites families to become part of the tale rather than simply watch it unfold.
For those who would prefer not to venture onto the woodland trails, the magic doesn't stop at the stage.
A specially created woodland gathering continues nearby, offering songs, stories and magical encounters with Woodgruff's friends, ensuring every member of the family can take part in the fun and stay at the heart of the experience.
Tom Rigby, who plays Ripple and co-produces the show, said: “Woodgruff and the Free Spirits is a load of fun for the whole family.
“Experience something different, a piece of immersive theatre with original songs and a short excursion into nature in the middle of the show!
“Fun characters with a core message of connecting with nature."
Tickets are available from haighwoodlandpark.co.uk. Shows run at 11am and 1.30pm.
