New sex offence allegations against Wigan pensioner already denying he arranged a child's rape

Sex assault and child abuse film charges are brought against a Wigan pensioner already denying he arranged for a youngster to be seriously sexually abused
A 78-year-old Wigan man who denies arranging the rape or sexual assault of a child is now facing new offences.
Ian Honey, of Bolton Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, had previously stood before Manchester and Salford justices to plead not guilty to arranging or facilitating the rape or assault by penetration of a child under the age of 13 between July 26 and 29.
Now he has appeared at Bolton Crown Court accused of twice sexually assaulting a female in June 2022 and, that same summer, making two images of child sexual abuse that fall into the most serious category - A - along with five category C images.
He has not yet entered pleas to these charges.
Honey was remanded into custody until a further hearing on February 22 next year.
