Orrell go down with a fight in thriller against Liverpool Collegiate
Orrell and Liverpool Collegiate serve up a thrilling contest that produced 84 points
Liverpool Collegiate RUFC emerged victors in an entertaining, if occasionally scrappy, encounter away at Orrell RUFC, securing a 51-33 win driven by a good start to both halves.

The visitors showed no signs of travel weariness who crossed the whitewash twice in the opening eight minutes, converting both opportunities to race into a 14-0 lead.
They capitalised on their momentum just two minutes later, adding a third try to stretch the gap to 19 points with only 10 minutes on the clock.
Orrell gradually composed themselves and found a foothold in the match. Denny Solomona broke through for the hosts' opening try, with Terry Leaford adding the extra two points.
However, Collegiate struck back with two further tries.
Despite a late, unconverted response from Orrell to close out the first-half scoring, the visitors went into the break with a commanding 29-12 lead.
Any hopes Orrell had of a clean restart vanished early in the second period when Collegiate struck first with an unconverted try to extend their cushion.
Refusing to capitulate, the home side launched a spirited fightback.
In-form back Luke Parkinson spearheaded the revival, crossing for two quick-fire tries in succession.
Leaford was accurate off the tee for both conversions, narrowing the deficit significantly.
A penalty conceded by Orrell allowed Collegiate to tick the scoreboard over to 37-26, but the hosts hit back immediately with another converted try to bring themselves within a single score at 37-33.
With momentum swinging toward a dramatic comeback, Collegiate steadied their ship.
They put the game out of reach in the closing stages, crossing for two late tries—both successfully converted—to put the final seal on a clinical away performance.
