This is when roadworks causing delays on a key Wigan road are due to finish

Temporary traffic lights appeared on Whelley on Friday as a team from Cadent Gas Ltd started work in the road.

There were long queues during Friday afternoon and again on Monday morning as drivers travelled to and from work and other locations.

But the journey should soon be much quicker as the project is expected to be completed today, according to Wigan Council’s website.
