The Cedars claimed their first win of the Rugby League World Cup in the game at Leigh Sports Village.
Miski states they knew it was going to be a tough fixture and were determined to get off to a strong start.
“We are absolutely stoked,” he said.

Hide Ad“We came into this game knowing it was going to be extremely tough.
“It was really physical, Ireland are a really good side, with some classy NRL and Super League players.
“The way we held on and really dug deep, working for each other, was really pleasing.
“We had plans to win the first 20 minutes because with the pressure they put on we didn’t want to hold on and wanted to bring the punch, outdoing them with the intensity.”

Hide AdMiski went over for a second half try in front of the Lebanon fans, which included some members of his family.
“It was good,” he added.
“I wasn’t really expecting it. At that point in the game the plan was just to run, and not hold on but to be on the front foot.
“When that ball got passed, I found myself in space to score in front of the fans.“I didn’t think there were that many Lebanese in England, it was really good.
“I know a bus load of them came from London, which shows how passionate they are.
“My sister and my nephew were here as well, everything was really good.
