Dig out a spooky costume as Wigan's Haigh Woodland parkrun celebrates Halloween and its 11th anniversary
Haigh Woodland parkrun in Wigan is holding a Halloween “spooktacular” this Saturday.
Runners, walkers and volunteers will wear fancy dress this weekend for a Halloween event.

As well as marking the spooky day, participants at Haigh Woodland parkrun will be celebrating the event’s 11th anniversary.
Fancy dress is optional, with people expected to dress as witches, pumpkins and other characters as they take on the 5k.
Haigh Woodland parkrun starts at 9am on Saturday at Haigh Woodland Park.
It is free, with people encouraged to register at www.parkrun.org.uk/haighwoodland before taking part for the first time.
