Wigan's first zombie run will now be held in November after storms led to it being postponed
The inaugural event was due to be held on Saturday but fell victim to the stormy weather.
A new date has been set for Wigan’s first zombie run, after it was cancelled due to the weekend’s storms.

The Night of the Undead zombie run was due to be held at Haigh Woodland Park on Saturday evening and would have seen runners take on a 5km course while being chased by “zombies”.
It was being organised by Avone Keene, a run leader with Wigan Council’s Be Well group at Wigan Life Centre and a fan of horror films.
But the strong winds and heavy rain that battered much of the country over the weekend led to the event being postponed.
It has now been announced that it will be held on Saturday, November 7 instead.
A post on the event’s Facebook page said: “ After the disappointment of having to postpone the event on Saturday due to the severe weather warnings in the region, we are pleased to announce the new rescheduled date of Saturday, November 7, 2026.”
